Concert Venues

The concerts take place at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center at the south end of Long Beach Boulevard at Ocean Boulevard. The Symphony Classics performances and Holiday Celebration concerts are staged at the Terrace Theater, while the Orchestra POPS! series takes place in the Long Beach Arena. The Long Beach Performing Arts Center is part of the expansive Long Beach Convention Center complex, which is steps from the harbor and within easy walking distance of numerous downtown restaurants.

TERRACE THEATER
The Symphony Classics concerts and Holiday Celebration performances take place at the Terrace Theater. Part of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, the Terrace Theater is a beautiful venue accommodating nearly 3,000 patrons. The format honors an elegant Continental style with spaces for wheelchairs. The theater’s soaring lobby boasts a floor-to-ceiling glass façade with stunning views of the center’s dramatic fountain plaza. There’s an ocean view from the facility’s west side and, at night, brightly lit cityscape from the east perimeter.

LONG BEACH ARENA
Four of the five Orchestra POPS! concerts take place at the Long Beach Arena. Part of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, the arena accommodates more than 7000 patrons—with 3000 of them seated on the arena floor for pre-concert picnicking—hence the POPS! well-known brand, “Southern California’s Greatest Indoor Musical Picnics.” The outside of the building is covered by the world’s largest outdoor mural, Planet Ocean, by internationally renowned marine-life artist Wyland.
