
Leonne Lewis has a varied career as pianist, music journalist and concert manager of Leonne Lewis Artist Representation. Since playing the Haydn D Major concerto at age ten with the San Francisco Symphony, she has performed as a soloist on concert series and with symphony orchestras throughout California. She has also given numerous chamber music concerts in California with the Lewis-Bartoli Duo, featuring works for cello and piano of romantic and contemporary composers such as Schumann, Martinu and Shostakovich. Reviews of Leonne's solo concerts include the Monterey Herald, "The pianist's imperious technical aplomb made for resounding musical results." the San Fancisco Chronicle, "It can be said that Miss Lewis is a natural," and the Merced Sun Star, "Walking on stage, she looked more like a little girl going to a birthday party than a veteran concert pianist."
Leonne's accomplishments as music journalist include Consulting Editor of Clavier magazine and contributor to Strings, Strad and the Wiener Zeitung newspaper of Vienna, Austria. She gives lectures on a variety of musical subjects at universities and festivals such as the Music Academy of the West, UCLA and the Vienna International Pianists Academy of Vienna, Austria where she recently gave lectures on Mendelssohn and an instructional series on Successful Career Planning in Music. |

Leonne received Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in piano performance from the University of Southern California and California State University Long Beach. She was a past president of the Music Teachers' Association of California Long Beach Branch and currently is Second Vice President.
